It is about creating a place where children from surrounding communities can live safely during the school term and receive the education they deserve.
A boarding school makes education possible for children who otherwise may have very few options.
And once those doors open, the possibilities extend far beyond the walls of the school.
Tim Taylor, a Florida businessman and owner of an IT consulting company, traveled to Africa and met a family whose story stayed with him.
Over the course of several years, Tim’s relationship with the family grew. He saw their challenges.
But more importantly, he saw their determination. Through donations and his business Tim was able to raise funding and something remarkable happened:
A place where one’s commitment to education could become an opportunity for generations of children.
That dream is what AHE Foundation is working to make possible.
For children in this community, transportation can be a serious barrier.
Families may live significant distances from a school, and dependable daily transportation is simply not available.
Building a traditional day school would solve only part of the problem.
That is why the vision is to create a boarding school.
Students will be able to stay on campus during the school term, giving children from more distant communities the opportunity to receive an education regardless of how far their families live from the school.
